Rollups for managing invoice line items

Rollups enable customers to group charges together for billing purposes, while still being able to report on the components of those charges separately.

For example:

• Customer View

• Reporting View

  • adsl-gb: ADSL Gold 1/11/2020 - 30/11/2020 $30

  • mobile-gb: Mobile Gold 1/11/2020 - 30/11/2020 $20

The following new features and improvements have been introduced to support rollups.

Inomial Composer

Creating a rollup within a plan specification

In Inomial Composer, we've added a new "Rollups" tab for plan specifications, where rollups can be defined and configured.

In the screenshot below, you can see the new "Rollups" tab for a plan specification, showing one rollup that has been defined for this plan.

The screenshot below shows the view for adding a new rollup or editing an existing rollup. You can see that we can define an item specification to represent the rollup (under "Item Specification Output"), as well as the items that form part of the rollup (under "Item Specification Input").

Items can be added or removed from a rollup at any time.

In Inomial Operator, the invoice details page now shows an expandable/collapsible view of rolled-up line items if an invoice contains rollups.

The screenshot below shows an expanded view for rolled-up items in an invoice, under the heading "Mobile Ultra".
